Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris, born October 20 1964 is an American politician as well as a lawyer. She is currently the 49th vice president of the United States. She is also the first female vice-president and the highest-ranking female official in U.S. History, as being the first African American and second Asian American vice president. She is a senator and former US senator representing California. Harris was born in Oakland. Harris received her law degree from Howard University. Harris started her career at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. She was then recruited to San Francisco District Attorney's Office. She was elected San Francisco district attorney in 2003. Harris was elected Attorney General of California in 2010. In 2014, she was re-elected. From 2017 until 2021, Harris was the junior United States senator for California. Harris defeated Loretta Santiago in the 2016 Senate election, becoming the 2nd African American woman to serve in Congress , and the only South Asian American American to be elected to the United States Senate. Harris was a senator who advocated for healthcare and federal de-scheduling cannabis. A path to citizenship for immigrants who are not legally recognized. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. She is well-known for her direct questions to Trump government officials in Senate hearings.
